John’s quotation collection
I clearly have a quotation problem. I like them way too much, and I consider profound or at least worth saving anything said by anyone famous (and some not so famous) that sounds wise, valuable, deep, clever, or insightful. I even have a quotation about my collection of quotations: “The majority of those who put together collections of verses or epigrams resemble those who eat cherries or oysters; they begin by choosing the best and then end by eating everything.” (Sébastien Chamfort)
Well, here are what I consider the greatest quotations from across the span of time, on everything from philosophy to sports, by people from Socrates to Homer Simpson.
